UPVC Window Specification - A1 Plus Range


Materials

All frames are of white or Woodgrain finish, low maintenance, unplasticised poly-vinyl chloride (uPVC) with high impact resistance, and are guaranteed against discolouring, warping or twisting. The multi-chambered structure and nature of the material provides excellent thermal insulation. All kite marked to British Standards 7413 profile, BS7950 enhanced security system and B.S.EN.ISO.9002 Quality Assurance.

Manufacture

In our own local factory to ensure quality control. Extrusions are aluminium or steelreinforced, with fusion welded mitres for extra strength.

Performance

All windows are manufactured to British Standards Severe Weather ratings B.S.4712. In addition, durable non-perishable neoprene compression seals to B.S.4255 ensure that the windows are guaranteed draught and waterproof. All profiles have co-extruded low level glazing gaskets to ensure against shrinkage and provide aesthetically pleasing sightlines.

Security

Opening lights have stainless steel `Egress' security hinges to comply with current building regulations regarding ventilation and fire escape facilities. All have multi-point shoot-bolt high security, key-operated locking systems tested to B.S.7950 and awarded the "Secured by Design" accolade. As standard there is the additional facility of securely locking the window in an open Ventilated position and all frames are internally beaded for extra security. Doors come with a multi-point locking system including hooks, rollers, dead-bolt latch and shoot-bolts, plus additional security hinges.

Glazing

All double-glazed with Pilkington's Glass sealed units to customers preferred cavity width and kite marked to B.S.5713. 28mm units. Pilkington K or Low E. All glazing meets with requirements of B.S.952 and B.S.6262 for thickness and safety to comply with current Building Regulations.

Installation

The windows are installed by our own time served craftsmen to current Building Regulations, and the Glass and Glazing Federation Codes of Practice, securely bolted/screwed to the masonry and water-proofed with flexible silicone sealants. All attentions are paid to internal and external making good, usually without the need for any redecorating. All spoil removed from site, with all working areas dust sheeted and left in a clean and tidy condition.


THE MILA MASTER MULTIPOINT LOCKING SYSTEM


House of Anderson doors are fitted with the Mila Master Multipoint Lock which provides up to 7 separate locking & sealing points. This is achieved through a combination of strong hooks, pins & steel shootbolts designed to prevent the door from being levered open while the deadbolt houses anti-saw pins.

The Mila Master lock used on our doors features as standard: reversible latch, deadbolt with anti-saw pins, 2 x strong hooks, 2 x anti-lifts, 4 x patented pre-compression roller cams which travel before the hooks to ensure smooth operation & positive door alignment.

Option of "twin spindle" type operation.

On the front door lever/pad operation a snib facility is available to withhold the latch to prevent being locked out.

Shootbolts can be added top & bottom of a door to further enhance security.

Mila Uni-keep one piece striker for improved aesthetics, featuring compression adjustable roller cam receivers.
